April 30(.pdf) press release Paula Revera and Norman Siegel at McCarren Park Paul Revere on horseback again, but this time down Bedford Ave(and in hot female form) to warn the people of the intent of the coming developers. "The Developers are coming! The Towers are coming!" This was an incredible press conference. Norman Siegel, everybody's favorite lawyer, spoke out eloquently as always (he is the true SUPER WARRIOR...send him some money if you can to help out his campaign for Public Advocate.) against city's current dastardly rezoning plan. McCarren Park, 1:30 PM.
T.B.A Thousands of Warrior postcards opposing the current rezoning plan will be hand delivered to City Hall Monday May 2nd Communities United for Williamsburg / Greenpoint
A press conference where community groups from all around the city stood united for Williamsburg/ Greenpoint's community oriented development plan, the "community plan." Location : City Hall Steps, downtown manhattan..Incredible, inspiring, impassioned pleas from many different parts of the city that are fighting the same fight against hyper-development that has little concern for the residents. Chelsea, Harlem, Downtown Brooklyn, Little Italy, Lower East Side Upper East Side and more represent!!! great press turn-out...4 or 5 cameras?, radio, print. And Bloomberg and Gifford walk by while Norman Siegel's speaking. All of us chanting "community plan" and Bloomberg visibly shaken. Everyone giving interviews all day long...we felt like a team, and it was amazing. Others like us out there, with their 197a's (community plans), wondering if anyone will listen...
Monday May 2nd The Williamsburg Warriors hand delivered an invitation to Speaker Gifford Miller to come out on a "date" in Greenpoint/Williamsburg and see what this plan is putting on the sacrificial stone of over-development. Doesn't he realize what can be lost? Everyone has a heart, RIGHT???? He must be human...see the invitation.

| EMERGENCY ORGANIZING/VOLUNTEER MEETING | |
APRIL 4th |
Community Board Hearing |

SOON: |
Look, up in the sky!! |
| Wind permitting, therewill be balloons flying 40 stories high along the waterfront. They're much nicer looking than the proposed development would be, but they help to give some perspective on what's being unscrupiously pushed through. |
